Umberto de Salles came out of the goal and Cristian Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 14th minute of the match Kaká Romero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Bueno in the 15th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 15 minutes, Narciso Bueno made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Bueno went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Scarlet Speedster booed when Marzagão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scarlet Speedster's Kauan Valle was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Alfredo Esteves hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the game, Scarlet Speedster's Narciso Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marzagão made a substitution. Gilberto Saraiva replaced Fabiano de Queiroz. In the 56th minute, Cafu Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Narciso Bueno sent off a good shot on target. After 61 minutes, Narciso Bueno made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Bueno. If Cafu Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 68 minutes into the game, Cafu Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Pedro Luís Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Narciso Bueno received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out and tried to block the shot, but Narciso Bueno slotted it home off the left post making it 0-8 in the 71st minute. Alfredinho Quintal hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Marzagão's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Narciso Bueno scored to the left of an out of position Pedro Luís Fernandez, making the score, 0-9. When Alfredo Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Marzagão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Esteves couldn't finish the play. Narciso Bueno struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarlet Speedster. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Alberto Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute of the match Clóvis Rocha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Fernandez skillfully saved the ball. In the 90th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Toledo to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Narciso Bueno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 97 minutes, Narciso Bueno made it 0-10 with a short kick to the right side. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Scarlet Speedster played a much better game than Marzagão and deserved their victory. The Marzagão players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
