But to his dismay, Åke Jansson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. If Leonardo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bertil Åström fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zero Hedge's protests and gave Bertil Åström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zero Hedge getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Bertil Åström hit a great ball. If Narciso Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zero Hedge's Wiktor Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bueno in the 42nd minute of play. Kauan Valle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiktor Wallander having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Toledo came free, but Wiktor Wallander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Zero Hedge's Åke Jansson got a free kick in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bertil Åström made a kick off. Umberto de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Jansson in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Umberto de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Zero Hedge's Gabriel Odeen was substituted for Åke Jansson. 81 minutes into the match, Gabriel Odeen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Umberto de Salles. Scarlet Speedster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Odeen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Wiktor Wallander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauan Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bertil Åström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto de Salles having to interfere. Augusto Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
