After a rather tough play, Zero Hedge's Bertil Åström got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Zero Hedge's Wiktor Wallander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafim Reis in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Åke Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal and Åke Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Melker Törnblom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zero Hedge's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marzagão the free kick. After 27 played minutes Zero Hedge got a freekick which was hit by Hans Nordström. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Åke Jansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Bertil Åström blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Marzagão's Remo Borges was substituted for Válbson Fernandes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bertil Åström to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Reis to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the game, Åke Jansson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Pedro Luís Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bertil Åström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Åke Jansson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zero Hedge made a substitution. Gabriel Odeen replaced Åke Jansson. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Zero Hedge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Dias couldn't finish the play. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gabriel Odeen went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. Bertil Åström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Odeen, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With his leg Pedro Luís Fernandez managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Zero Hedge's Gabriel Odeen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Serafim Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marzagão's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wiktor Wallander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
