Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Marzagão from getting a goal against them. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Scarlet Speedster's Narciso Bueno. But to his dismay, Narciso Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Clóvis Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Narciso Bueno took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Pedro Luís Fernandez to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Scarlet Speedster's José Carlos Castro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Luís Fernandez. That made the score 3-0 after 19 minutes of play. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Bueno in the 21st minute of play. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Toledo in the 26th minute of play. Neil Mar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Augusto Branco fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Scarlet Speedster's protests and gave Augusto Branco a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Marzagão booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neil Mar in the 30th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Umberto de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cafu Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Neil Mar hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Umberto de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Esteves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Bueno in the 39th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Prado to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes, Scarlet Speedster's Augusto Branco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Scarlet Speedster reached it. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Bueno in the 42nd minute of play. Pedro Luís Fernandez was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Kauan Valle capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kauan Valle really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0.

Marzagão's Remo Borges was substituted for Válbson Fernandes. Marzagão made a substitution. Serafim Reis replaced Alfredinho Quintal. 54 minutes into the match, Cafu Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Marzagão's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cafu Toledo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, José Carlos Castro notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez. Pedro Luís Fernandez was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 79 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Branco. After 81 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Bueno. Umberto de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Mar in the 82nd minute. Célio Nóbrega hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Cristian Dias from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got Umberto de Salles's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 87th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Dias to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Narciso Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafim Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Narciso Bueno in the 93rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Bueno in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Fernandez saved Marzagão from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Narciso Bueno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pedro Luís Fernandez was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 97th minute Narciso Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Scarlet Speedster were the better team. Scarlet Speedster's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
