An unexpectedly hard shot by Estevez Palmeira in the 27th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Orlando Mineiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Pedro Luís Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 34 played minutes Marzagão got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Prado. 40 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Mineiro came free, but Pedro Luís Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute, Alberto Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marzagão's Pedro Luís Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Augusto Novaes in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Orlando Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 46 minutes of play, ITAFUT 4EVER's Orlando Mineiro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedro Luís Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Marzagão's Remo Borges was substituted for Válbson Fernandes. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sidney Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
