The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ovidiu Marin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Umberto de Salles came out of the goal and Dacian Jurăscu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Cosula-BTF- booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Branco didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 23 played minutes, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Petre Bogătan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Umberto de Salles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Cosula-BTF- reached it. In the 26th match minute, Scarlet Speedster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Souto to maneuver through the defense. Scarlet Speedster's Umberto de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Irinel Irimescu in the 28th minute of play. Umberto de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacian Jurăscu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Valle. Umberto de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacian Jurăscu, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Alupulesei during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Leonardo Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
