Edgar Cosoroabă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sakarias Berggren having to interfere. If Dobrin Cormoran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joachim Boffin during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 41 played minutes FC Viitorul Buzau got a freekick which was hit by Joachim Boffin. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, FC Viitorul Buzau's Octav Boc got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manole Domuță got free with Sakarias Berggren in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 58 minutes into the game, Burriss's Dobrin Cormoran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiberiu Siniştean made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. FC Viitorul Buzau's Tiberiu Siniştean played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dobrin Cormoran in the 64th minute of play. After 67 minutes, Antonio Oskarbi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Viitorul Buzau and the Burriss players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Friday Sobota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the match, FC Viitorul Buzau's goal looked a bit too open when Dobrin Cormoran came free, but Tiberiu Siniştean reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dobrin Cormoran's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tiberiu Siniştean was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Abe Atwood shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Siniştean saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burriss's Dobrin Cormoran got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Viitorul Buzau made a substitution. Ovidiu Dragu replaced Iordache Augustin. Joachim Boffin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Sakarias Berggren made a huge save. If Friday Sobota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sakarias Berggren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nechifor Blajovici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nechifor Blajovici succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 88th playminute. When Burriss's Dobrin Cormoran in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Viitorul Buzau's goalie prevented a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Viitorul Buzau players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Burriss.
