Reggie Land ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Larry Hallam in the 28th minute of play forced Macedonia's goalkeeper Spase Kastrati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Larry Hallam in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Spase Kastrati saved Macedonia from getting behind. In the 32nd match minute, Macedonia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gorjan Avramovski to maneuver through the defense. After 36 minutes Macedonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reggie Land who took care of the corner kick. Larry Hallam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Spase Kastrati having to interfere. In the 41st minute Jakov Bundev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Andorra booed when Macedonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorjan Avramovski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Macedonia's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Hallam came free, but Spase Kastrati reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Larry Hallam ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Spase Kastrati was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Spase Kastrati made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Martinez in the 81st minute of play forced Macedonia's goalkeeper Spase Kastrati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
