BVB 09's Moritz Kran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Sandberg in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Norrlands Athen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto da Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Safet Hands made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Octavian Caragea sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Lebron in the 25th minute of play forced BVB 09's goalkeeper Moritz Kran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match BVB 09 got a corner. Norrlands Athen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juan Lebron was the one to do the kick off. Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Codruț Filimon, made in the 51st minute of the game. Codruț Filimon's late challenge caught a Norrlands Athen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codruț Filimon helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Måns Sandberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Moritz Kran was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt was substituted for Mathias Alrot. BVB 09 made a substitution. Matei Chelaru replaced Octavian Caragea. 81 minutes into the match, BVB 09's goalkeeper Moritz Kran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calle Bergfelt. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Safet Hands prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Norrlands Athen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than BVB 09 throughout the match.
