The Norrlands Athen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Måns Sandberg in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Seyhan Atlıhan saved Formentera from getting behind. Seyhan Atlıhan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Måns Sandberg in the 40th minute of the match. Norrlands Athen's Jacinto da Silveira managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Silverio Napier in the 42 minute of the game. If Måns Sandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute Måns Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seyhan Atlıhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Juan Lebron fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Norrlands Athen's protests and gave Juan Lebron a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Norrlands Athen's Juan Lebron got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 67th minute, Jacinto da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norrlands Athen's Calle Bergfelt was substituted for Urbano Fidencio. Norrlands Athen's Gilbert Hermansson was substituted for Måns Sandberg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Erik Lönn in the 94th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
