The audience was convinced that Iacob Vernescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Miguel was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. In the 46th match minute, GRÊMIO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Fontes to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the game, Iacob Vernescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roberto Fontes to make the kick off. Anísio Esteves made in the 84th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Roberto Fontes immediately put the ball in play. If Moise Cristoloveanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, BVB 09's Moritz Kran got control of the ball when Geovanni Maia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Moise Cristoloveanu in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Miguel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moritz Kran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Maia in the 94th minute of play. After 95 played minutes BVB 09 got a freekick which was hit by Francisc Bîndean. BVB 09 succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though GRÊMIO had controlled the match.
