The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Cosmic Pigeons's goalkeeper Philip Jury had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dag Ahlrot. 8 minutes into the game, Dag Ahlrot recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Philip Jury. Dag Ahlrot showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Philip Jury stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dag Ahlrot's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Real Cartagena's Edwin Devine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marshall Busst in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dag Ahlrot got free with Philip Jury in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 21st play minutes Dag Ahlrot shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Philip Jury and just under the crossbar into goal. 24 minutes into the match, Real Cartagena's goal looked a bit too open when Marshall Busst came free, but Edwin Devine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Philip Jury showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Ahlrot in the 27th minute of the match. Edwin Devine showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marshall Busst, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Cosmic Pigeons booed when Real Cartagena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chus Ayarza didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dag Ahlrot in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Jury saved Cosmic Pigeons from getting behind. Real Cartagena were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Cosmic Pigeons's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alonzo Helguera took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Alonzo Helguera got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Philip Jury quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Dag Ahlrot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Philip Jury having to make a save. Philip Jury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dag Ahlrot in the 38th minute of play. Philip Jury was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dag Ahlrot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 39 minute of play. Edwin Devine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marshall Busst in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Ahlrot in the 47th minute of play forced Cosmic Pigeons's goalkeeper Philip Jury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dag Ahlrot made a kick off. Philip Jury showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dag Ahlrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Cosmic Pigeons's Phil Haydock got a free kick in the 55th minute. Cosmic Pigeons's Philip Jury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Ahlrot in the 56th minute of play. Philip Jury showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dag Ahlrot in the 58th minute of the match. Cosmic Pigeons's Philip Jury played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Ahlrot in the 61st minute of play. Dag Ahlrot might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Philip Jury. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dag Ahlrot ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute Dag Ahlrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Jury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Dag Ahlrot sped through Cosmic Pigeons's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Philip Jury. Philip Jury took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chus Ayarza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dag Ahlrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, Cosmic Pigeons's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Ahlrot came free, but Philip Jury reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Drew Keato kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute Dag Ahlrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Jury saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Dag Ahlrot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Cartagena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dag Ahlrot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Philip Jury didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dag Ahlrot went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Real Cartagena made a substitution. Harris Geraets replaced Dag Ahlrot. A sloppy throw-in by Ixona Gondin in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cosmic Pigeons's Phil Haydock. If Harris Geraets had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Cartagena's Rioja Pedrueca was substituted for Wictor Vestberg. Philip Jury took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harris Geraets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harris Geraets in the 85th minute of play forced Cosmic Pigeons's goalkeeper Philip Jury to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Real Cartagena getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Harris Geraets hit a great ball. Philip Jury made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harris Geraets in the 90th minute of play. Philip Jury didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Real Cartagena's Harris Geraets shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-0 in the ordered_time% minute. There was no doubt that Real Cartagena were the better team. Real Cartagena's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
