But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Osoro couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute Albino Osoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Oswald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, A S Y A™'s goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Paz came free, but Santiago Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, A S Y A™'s Santiago Lorien got control of the ball when Benigno Pisculichi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half A S Y A™ were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Internet XAire booed when A S Y A™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Eyague didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filiberto Paz in the 55th minute of play forced A S Y A™'s goalkeeper Santiago Lorien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filiberto Paz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Internet XAire fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. But to his dismay, Filiberto Paz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The A S Y A™ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
