Enrique Cassaretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Shantala read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Paul Almajan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpachiri AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Municipal the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Alpachiri AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CD Municipal:s goal. Enrique Cassaretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Roman Shantala took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Cassaretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th match minute, Alpachiri AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Ramone to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Alpachiri AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique Cassaretto came free, but Roman Shantala reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Cassaretto might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Shantala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique Cassaretto ran back to his position shaking his head. Enrique Cassaretto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Roman Shantala made a huge save.
