Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernst Barskov in the 5th minute of play. Ted Kobbeltvedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julien Staffelbach's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ted Kobbeltvedt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 12th minute. When Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Drik's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Julien Staffelbach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ted Kobbeltvedt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Julien Staffelbach showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Julien Staffelbach made a precise shot to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. FC Drik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. When Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Drik's goalie prevented a goal. Julien Staffelbach could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ted Kobbeltvedt made a huge save. Julien Staffelbach's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Kobbeltvedt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

FC Drik's Calvin Townsley was substituted for Gunvald Mitens. In the 55th minute Denis Schubring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmy Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Lucas Drevsgård with Kjell Björstedt as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Ted Kobbeltvedt came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Linköpings AIK's Julien Staffelbach. But to his dismay, Julien Staffelbach quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Lucas Drevsgård made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Linköpings AIK's Tavo Tomat. Tavo Tomat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 65th minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julien Staffelbach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to make a save. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71stth minute of the game Julien Staffelbach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Drik's Ted Kobbeltvedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ted Kobbeltvedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julien Staffelbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Julien Staffelbach blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julien Staffelbach in the 75th minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Ted Kobbeltvedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Julien Staffelbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Kobbeltvedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Linköpings AIK's Arvid Carlsson was substituted for Julien Staffelbach. In the 85th match minute, Linköpings AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marbjörn Garpsson to maneuver through the defense. Arvid Carlsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Kobbeltvedt having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arvid Carlsson in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Kobbeltvedt saved FC Drik from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Arvid Carlsson made a precise shot to the right of Ted Kobbeltvedt. FC Drik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Arvid Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ted Kobbeltvedt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Linköpings AIK players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
