Ademir Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Björkdahl in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 55th minute, Matungo Gaúcho's 龙森景 dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
