After taking down the ball on NFH Family United's corner Azli Abisheganaden fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jardel Sanches quite easily take care of the ball. When Ang Chew, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 5 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jardel Sanches was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the Grêmio FBPA defense, Mark Chian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jardel Sanches. The Grêmio FBPA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jardel Sanches should have stopped the shot. Alexander Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 15th minute of play. Alexander Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When NFH Family United's Gara Keng in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in NFH Family United's zone, Pipis Karapatakis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Sum came out of the goal and Pipis Karapatakis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Sum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 31st minute of the match. Jardel Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Chian in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Sum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ang Chew could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Jardel Sanches made a huge save. 39 minutes into the game, Pipis Karapatakis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alexander Sum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pipis Karapatakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Zack Tuan with Ang Chew as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Alexander Sum made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Diamantino Cabral got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Chian in the 65th minute of play. NFH Family United's Alexander Sum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save NFH Family United from getting a goal against them. Alberto Estevon made a great header on Grêmio FBPA's corner, it was just that NFH Family United's Alexander Sum managed to reach the ball for a save. A sloppy throw-in by Wong Sophie in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Chian in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jardel Sanches saved Grêmio FBPA from getting behind. NFH Family United's Alexander Sum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save NFH Family United from getting a goal against them.

Grêmio FBPA's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
