Viktor Bergman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Timmernabben FF's Sven-Olof Bengtsson got a free kick in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Lawrence Hopson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Lou Moses was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Brett Hull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lou Moses having to interfere. Lou Moses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Hopson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 25th match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Mendoza to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Ali Can got a free kick in the 25th minute. Emerson Whaley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Bergman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Olof Bengtsson in the 28th minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Emerson Whaley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. AFC Richmond's Emerson Whaley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Bergman in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Timmernabben FF's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Mendoza came free, but Lou Moses reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emerson Whaley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Bergman in the 40th minute of play. Timmernabben FF's Viktor Bergman managed to work through AFC Richmond's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Viktor Bergman dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lawrence Hopson to make the kick off. Lou Moses made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brett Hull in the 59th minute of play. Lawrence Hopson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Felipe Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Olof Bengtsson took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emerson Whaley. Emerson Whaley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Emerson Whaley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Olof Bengtsson in the 71st minute of the match. Lou Moses showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Mendoza in the 74th minute of the match. Emerson Whaley made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Olof Bengtsson in the 79th minute. AFC Richmond's Lawrence Hopson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Felipe Lima could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Emerson Whaley however easily saved by the left post. Lou Moses didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lawrence Hopson went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Emerson Whaley made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Felipe Lima sent off a good shot on target. Emerson Whaley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Bergman's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Viktor Bergman put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Emerson Whaley. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Timmernabben FF's Viktor Bergman started the play with the initial kick off. In the 102nd minute Brett Hull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Moses saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 103 in the game by Lawrence Hopson from a close distance when the talented Lou Moses managed to make a qualified save. Timmernabben FF's players were relieved. Joel Björklund's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Björklund helped the player get up and apologised. In the 108th match minute, Timmernabben FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Björklund to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lawrence Hopson in the 110th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lou Moses saved Timmernabben FF from getting behind. Dante Grenier's late challenge caught a Timmernabben FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Grenier helped the player get up and apologised. Dante Grenier kicked well hit freekick during the 118th minute of the match. After 119 minutes, Çakır Yahya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Timmernabben FF and the AFC Richmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 119th minute, Çakır Yahya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The AFC Richmond players wondered just what they needed to do win this one. 105 minutes had now been played and the teams were still tied. Penalties were starting to look likely.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Lawrence Hopson to make the kick off. The supporters of Timmernabben FF booed when AFC Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 130 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brett Hull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lou Moses showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lawrence Hopson, who was totally free with the ball in the 134th minute. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 137 minutes play. Rémy Peralta hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Bergman in the 138th minute of play forced AFC Richmond's goalkeeper Emerson Whaley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The game was still level after extra-time. The match had to be settled by penalties!

When the match had been going on for 141 minutes, AFC Richmond's Erin Valencia got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Lou Moses. The goalkeeper, Emerson Whaley, was totally fooled by Timmernabben FF's Olle Löv, who 148 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Timmernabben FF:s Lou Moses showed great skill when he stopped Danilo Mendoza:s penalty. Danilo Mendoza's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Lou Moses - 5-5 was put on the score board in the 150th minute. In the game's 151st minute Timmernabben FF's Joel Björklund took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Emerson Whaley and thus the score was 5-6. The Timmernabben FF supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Timmernabben FF would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
