Hønning's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mattias Flower ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mattias Flower made a great header on UE Sant Julià's corner, it was just that Hønning's Gert Altorn managed to reach the ball for a save. The corner ended in Mattias Flower almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Hønning's Gert Altorn did a great save. Edinson Cavani scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gert Altorn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 43rd minute Bobby Baxter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gert Altorn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edinson Cavani to make the kick off.
