If Valdir Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Velloso in the 12th minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Apolo Tristan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yu Xiong Yan hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Velloso got free with Apolo Tristan in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arturo Felipo made in the 21st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Here Comes the Hammer's Yu Xiong Yan. Valdir Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Apolo Tristan made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when John Eriksson sent off a good shot on target. Valdir Velloso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Apolo Tristan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Here Comes the Hammer got a corner. Quitilipi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Emil Paulin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Here Comes the Hammer's Emil Paulin to fire away a dangerous shot which Apolo Tristan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Quitilipi's Apolo Tristan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Quitilipi from getting a goal against them. Valdir Velloso might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Tristan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Velloso ran back to his position shaking his head. If Teofilo Tercero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Valdir Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Here Comes the Hammer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Velloso couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Eriksson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes in the game Arturo Felipo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lisandro Joanes. A sloppy throw-in by Arturo Felipo in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Here Comes the Hammer's Yu Xiong Yan. Valdir Velloso struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Apolo Tristan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Here Comes the Hammer. Fulgencio Johans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Charles Björkqvist made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Velloso came free, but Apolo Tristan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Quitilipi's zone, Valdir Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Apolo Tristan came out of the goal and Valdir Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Murilo Maranhense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Tristan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Murillo Arce hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Here Comes the Hammer's Gustav Larsfelt was substituted for Lei Lei Feng. Here Comes the Hammer made a substitution. Carlinhos Félix replaced Valdir Velloso. Murillo Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Apolo Tristan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Here Comes the Hammer's John Eriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Quitilipi's Apolo Tristan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos Félix in the 77th minute of play. Here Comes the Hammer made a substitution. Marko Persson replaced John Eriksson. In a very dangerous position, a player in Here Comes the Hammer fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 82 minutes, Quitilipi's Primitivo Salvatore got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Charles Björkqvist. Carlinhos Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carlinhos Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Tristan having to interfere. After 98 minutes of play, Here Comes the Hammer's Carlinhos Félix made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Tristan was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Here Comes the Hammer fans cheered their team off the field, for while Quitilipi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
