If Vasco Teijelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute Christian Bale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Söderberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Xayvion Penas got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Åke Fors in the 28th minute of play forced Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Estavan Virto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Ciriaca's late challenge caught a Degerfors IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leon Ciriaca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Leon Ciriaca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Degerfors IF defense, Christian Bale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Håkan Söderberg. The Degerfors IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Håkan Söderberg should have stopped the shot. Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Bale in the 38th minute of play. After 41 minutes, Xayvion Penas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Playa Malvín and the Degerfors IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Xayvion Penas got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 42 played minutes Playa Malvín got a freekick which was hit by Leon Ciriaca. Fredrik Isak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Estavan Virto having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tabor Canillas made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Fors came free, but Estavan Virto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Söderberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vasco Teijelo in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the Playa Malvín defense, Åke Fors kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Estavan Virto. The Playa Malvín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Estavan Virto should have stopped the shot. Playa Malvín's Vasco Teijelo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Håkan Söderberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Estavan Virto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Christian Bale in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Håkan Söderberg saved Degerfors IF from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Alberino Riesco got a free kick in the 89th minute. Mattias Västlund kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Neither Degerfors IF or Playa Malvín succeeded in finding a winner during the second half. That meant the players faced another 30 minutes of extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. Degerfors IF's Åke Fors started the play with the initial kick off. The throw-in from Uhin Angostina in the 101st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Degerfors IF's 김 손. 102 minutes into the match, Playa Malvín's goalkeeper Estavan Virto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Åke Fors. Åke Fors struck a weak shot in the 110th minute. Estavan Virto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Degerfors IF. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uhin Angostina during the 112th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Åke Fors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 113th minute. Estavan Virto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee signaled the end of the first half of extra-time the score was 1-1. The players had a chance to rest for a moment before the second half.

The players still looked rather fresh even though it was time for second half of the overtime. Tabor Canillas did a quick kick off. Playa Malvín's Estavan Virto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Åke Fors in the 123rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Teijelo in the 125th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uhin Angostina made in the 127th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Degerfors IF's Mattias Västlund. When Tabor Canillas came up free with the goalie in the 129th minute, the Playa Malvín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tabor Canillas couldn't finish the play. Estavan Virto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Åke Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Estavan Virto had in the 137thth minute some difficulties stopping Christian Bale's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fredrik Isak succeeded in the game's 138th minute to get real power on a long shot . Playa Malvín's Estavan Virto hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! The referee gave Playa Malvín a penalty, 139 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andrew Tate, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg. 3-2. Estavan Virto had in the 140thth minute some difficulties stopping Selman Durkaya's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee gave Playa Malvín a penalty, 142 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leon Ciriaca, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Degerfors IF's Håkan Söderberg. 3-3. Playa Malvín:s Estavan Virto showed great skill when he stopped Zé Simões:s penalty. A hard and well directed shot from Zé Simões led 143 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Playa Malvín's Estavan Virto became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-3. Estavan Virto had in the 144thth minute some difficulties stopping Xayvion Penas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Playa Malvín players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Degerfors IF.
