BATMAN SK's Dida Gentenaar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save BATMAN SK from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rickard Thidén got free with Dida Gentenaar in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. BATMAN SK were furious when Haydar Erandaç was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, BATMAN SK's Haydar Erandaç got a free kick in the 13th minute. Dida Gentenaar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hikmet Şafakgün in the 14th minute. In the 16th minute, LOI's Rickard Thidén ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dida Gentenaar. Dida Gentenaar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Dida Gentenaar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickard Thidén. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 26th minute of play forced BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Dida Gentenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of BATMAN SK booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Barış Yarlık didn't get a good kick on the ball. Babür Gürgen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Dida Gentenaar made a huge save. If Babür Gürgen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Babür Gürgen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Babür Gürgen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dida Gentenaar having to make a save. Babür Gürgen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dida Gentenaar made a huge save. When Rickard Thidén fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LOI's protests and gave Rickard Thidén a yellow card for diving instead. In the 48th minute, Rickard Thidén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Rickard Thidén made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 59th minute of play forced BATMAN SK's goalkeeper Dida Gentenaar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, LOI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Barış Yarlık to maneuver through the defense. Babür Gürgen took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Gentenaar. Dida Gentenaar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dida Gentenaar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rickard Thidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Babür Gürgen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dida Gentenaar was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dida Gentenaar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Babür Gürgen in the 89th minute of play. After 91 played minutes BATMAN SK got a freekick which was hit by Ali Faruk Ergüner. In the 92nd minute Babür Gürgen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Gentenaar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Babür Gürgen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dida Gentenaar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

LOI's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
