FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sorin Lipan in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Ţiţeica in the 41st minute of play forced Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s goalkeeper Ernest Ştati to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Vasile Ailioaiei hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrei Rogozea to make the kick off. 50 minutes into the game, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Nicodim Zogreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Buzincu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adam Bratiloveanu during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★:s Ernest Ştati showed great skill when he stopped Ionuț Năsturel:s penalty. Ernest Ştati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Ţiţeica in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Costică Brânzaș hit a great ball. Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★ made a substitution. Basarab Rareș replaced Adam Bratiloveanu. After a rather tough play, Filpea Hotspur ★Dac★'s Costică Brânzaș got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 72nd match minute, FC Buzău was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by George Ţiţeica to maneuver through the defense. Iustinian Spirea kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match.
