CA Juventud Unida's Honorato Ibon got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeremias Medina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Gonçalo de Medeiros made a huge save. After 48 played minutes Espigão Steamrollers got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Peres. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Naike in the 49th minute of play forced Espigão Steamrollers's goalkeeper Gonçalo de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denílson Abraão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ricardo Gelacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonçalo de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Gelacio in the 73rd minute of the match. The player immediately received a yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, Espigão Steamrollers's goal looked a bit too open when Honorato Ibon came free, but Gonçalo de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ángel Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Robustiano Calvet made a huge save. Espigão Steamrollers's Gonçalo de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Gelacio in the 97th minute of play.

When the final whistle sounded Espigão Steamrollers left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CA Juventud Unida.
