The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Polentzi. The supporters of Palermo AFC booed when Lite Finare Lite Bättre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Palermo AFC's Domingo Serafo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Kollin in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Åke Askberg came free, but Domingo Serafo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingo Serafo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Otto Kollin went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 26th minute Ove Hökkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domingo Serafo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 27 minutes on the clock, Rutger Lundin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Lite Finare Lite Bättre! John Bergström had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Elvio Olo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 29th minute, Elvio Olo made a precise shot to the right of John Bergström. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. 35 minutes into the game, Ove Hökkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Domingo Serafo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elvio Olo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

In the 51st minute, Palermo AFC's Marcelino Polentzi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Hugo Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Leopoldo Lluques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 71 played minutes Lite Finare Lite Bättre got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Åke Askberg. Elvio Olo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Bergström having to interfere. Hans Kollin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Elvio Olo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 94 minutes into the game, Jan Carlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lite Finare Lite Bättre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palermo AFC the free kick. In the 94th minute, Jan Carlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The Lite Finare Lite Bättre support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
