The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joélson Coutinho during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, MAZER SAF's Joélson Coutinho got a free kick in the 4th minute. MAZER SAF's Matheus Donelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Hâncu in the 8th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardinho Cunha in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basarab Pârcălab saved Carpathians from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match, Cafu Alagoano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Basarab Pârcălab saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 11 minutes in the game, Cafu Alagoano dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Carpathians from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Hâncu during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Leonard Hâncu hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Ángel Romero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Basarab Pârcălab made a huge save. Cafu Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cafu Alagoano took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basarab Pârcălab. Basarab Pârcălab dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Matheus Donelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Hâncu in the 28th minute of play. Paulo Renato Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Basarab Pârcălab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes, Traian Mandoiu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carpathians and the MAZER SAF players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Carpathians:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of MAZER SAF:s goal. After 36 played minutes MAZER SAF got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Cunha. Basarab Pârcălab showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Ángel Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ángel Romero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matheus Donelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Hâncu in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to MAZER SAF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Bernardinho Cunha hit a great ball. Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ángel Romero in the 61st minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Ángel Romero came free, but Basarab Pârcălab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basarab Pârcălab made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Cunha in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Carpathians's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Alagoano came free, but Basarab Pârcălab reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Carpathians's zone, Bernardinho Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basarab Pârcălab came out of the goal and Bernardinho Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carpathians's Ionică Culcer was substituted for Traian Mandoiu. Carpathians's Petrică Costea was substituted for Matei Manta. Basarab Pârcălab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ángel Romero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. MAZER SAF were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Carpathians's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bernardinho Cunha took the corner. A collision led to Carpathians getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Leonard Hâncu hit a great ball. Basarab Pârcălab came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by MAZER SAF's Ángel Romero. But to his dismay, Ángel Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Basarab Pârcălab stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ángel Romero's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Vasile Socoriceanu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Basarab Pârcălab took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ángel Romero in the 92nd minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Basarab Pârcălab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94thth minute of the game Joélson Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpathians's Basarab Pârcălab was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Carpathians getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Carlos Santana hit a great ball.

For all the effort they put into the match, the Carpathians players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MAZER SAF.
