The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Norbert Dejo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lipa KS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Norbert Dejo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 51 minutes into the game, one of Lipa KS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for AIK FOTBOLL. Stefan Frisck stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wincent Jaworski. 2-0. Sven-Oskar Andreasson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dominik Brytka in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Oskar Andreasson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Neither team could find the winning goal during normal time. The second half finished 2-2. Extra-time would have to be played.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Arne Åberg got free with Wincent Jaworski in the 112th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With the score at 2-2, the referee blew for the end of the half. The players got a few minutes to recover before they had to start the second half of extra-time.
