With his leg Yetkiner Yabgu managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when PowerHawKings's Daniele Santoro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, PowerHawKings's Demetrio Persichetti got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in PowerHawKings's zone, Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Passalacqua came out of the goal and Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 37 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi. In the 38th minute, Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, LOI's goalkeeper Yetkiner Yabgu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniele Santoro. 47 minutes into the game, Arturo Marziali recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Yetkiner Yabgu. Arturo Marziali showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ahmet Necdet İlbeyi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carmine Passalacqua was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Cristoforo Tassotti's late challenge caught a LOI's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristoforo Tassotti helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute of the match Güntekin Nabi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carmine Passalacqua skillfully saved the ball. In the 87th minute Daniele Santoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yetkiner Yabgu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yetkiner Yabgu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniele Santoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute Arturo Marziali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yetkiner Yabgu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The LOI supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing LOI would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
