Christijan van Asseldonk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Rameriz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Christijan van Asseldonk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albertus FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Christijan van Asseldonk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Rameriz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Joeri Buys kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Albano Rameriz. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Albertus FC's Leendert Borg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcial Refugio in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Albertus FC's Hubert Ottens seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hubert Ottens the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Albertus FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hubert Ottens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Hubert Ottens hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. MDQ Raptors FC's Patricio Erdiano got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albano Rameriz made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Ted Kamps sent off a good shot on target. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rigoberto Norino was the one to do the kick off.
