Spectators: 502 (Terracing: 378, Seating: 115, VIP seats: 9) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leandro Cordarin started the match with the kick off. Antonello Di Martino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leandro Cordarin in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Di Martino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Cordarin in the 11th minute of play forced Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Antonello Di Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Leandro Cordarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello Di Martino was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nat Bukschat during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vorwärts Lübeck getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Nat Bukschat hit a great ball. If Leandro Cordarin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leandro Cordarin in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonello Di Martino saved Vorwärts Lübeck from getting behind. In the 21st minute of the match, Karl Wissing got a very nice opportunity to score, but Abel Neron was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Antonello Di Martino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Deportivo Balvanera were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after Vorwärts Lübeck's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Placido Cordarell took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl Wissing got free with Abel Neron in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Neron was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Waldemar Scheuch capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Waldemar Scheuch really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Antonello Di Martino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Cordarin in the 38th minute of play. Antonello Di Martino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Cordarin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Placido Cordarell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antonello Di Martino. Vorwärts Lübeck's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Placido Cordarell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Antonello Di Martino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leandro Cordarin's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cem Bauer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antonello Di Martino was a little too slow when Eusebio Lehoi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 50th minute. The score was now 1-2. Deportivo Balvanera made a substitution. Florencio Paz replaced Octavio Pes. Cem Bauer kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Leandro Cordarin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonello Di Martino was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. 72 minutes into the game, Teo Oinatz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Balvanera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vorwärts Lübeck the free kick. After 72 played minutes Deportivo Balvanera got a freekick which was hit by Teo Oinatz. Placido Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Antonello Di Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Aritza, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th play minute Jose Aritza came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonello Di Martino. 1-3. With an all-out effort, Deportivo Balvanera's Antonello Di Martino threw himself towards the right post 85 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leandro Cordarin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 89 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Cordarin came free, but Antonello Di Martino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonello Di Martino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leandro Cordarin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 90 minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Deportivo Balvanera's Leandro Cordarin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonello Di Martino. Antonello Di Martino yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5.

The Deportivo Balvanera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Deportivo Balvanera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
