In the 62nd minute, Alex Martinez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Enoch was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Chile's Rogelio Mendiola was substituted for Claudio-Paul Pirinchev. Andorra's Guillem Agulló was substituted for Larry Hallam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillem Agulló in the 66th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Enrique Enoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Andorra's goalkeeper Caleb Barrett, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chile's Juan Ramírez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Caleb Barrett in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Andorra's Caleb Barrett got control of the ball when Marcelo Salas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enrique Enoch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Roebuck in the 76th minute of the match. Caleb Barrett made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Marcelo Salas sent off a good shot on target. Caleb Barrett was a little too slow when Marcelo Salas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 1-4. Chile's Enrique Enoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillem Agulló in the 87th minute of play. In the 96th minute Carlo Darrigrande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caleb Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Salas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-5 in the 97th playminute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Chile eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
