The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Mebarek Mammeri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasin Jelić in the 3rd minute of the match. Semir Jakubović came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by MZ Country's Tedj Sellal. But to his dismay, Tedj Sellal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 8 minutes into the game, Bosnia And Hercegovina's Elvir Bešimović nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mebarek Mammeri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After some careless play in the Bosnia And Hercegovina defense, Tedj Sellal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Semir Jakubović. The Bosnia And Hercegovina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Semir Jakubović should have stopped the shot. In the 15th minute Tedj Sellal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semir Jakubović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dževad Kasimović in the 20th minute of play forced MZ Country's goalkeeper Mebarek Mammeri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mebarek Mammeri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jasin Jelić in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jasin Jelić who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MZ Country's Mebarek Mammeri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Semir Jakubović took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tedj Sellal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute of the match MZ Country got a corner. Bosnia And Hercegovina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Salah Madouni ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Salah Madouni almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bosnia And Hercegovina's Semir Jakubović did a great save. After a rather tough play, MZ Country's Walid Prévost got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 40th minute Tedj Sellal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Semir Jakubović saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jasin Jelić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mebarek Mammeri having to interfere. Djabir Belmadi's late challenge caught a Bosnia And Hercegovina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Djabir Belmadi helped the player get up and apologised. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tedj Sellal made the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute the ball was on its way in behind MZ Country's goalkeeper Mebarek Mammeri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 52 played minutes Bosnia And Hercegovina got a freekick which was hit by Muhedin Zovko. Tedj Sellal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Semir Jakubović read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Semir Jakubović showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tedj Sellal in the 56th minute of the match. When MZ Country's Tedj Sellal in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Muhedin Zovko made a great header on Bosnia And Hercegovina's corner, it was just that MZ Country's Mebarek Mammeri managed to reach the ball for a save. MZ Country made a substitution. Chadli Boudjedra replaced Djabir Belmadi. In the 68th minute MZ Country were awarded a corner. Noureddine Madjer went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on MZ Country's corner Noureddine Madjer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Semir Jakubović quite easily take care of the ball. Mebarek Mammeri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jasin Jelić, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Dževad Kasimović kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Bosnia And Hercegovina's Branislav Cokić was substituted for Dževad Kasimović. One of MZ Country:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bosnia And Hercegovina:s goal. In the 94th match minute, Bosnia And Hercegovina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Petranović to maneuver through the defense.
