In the 4th match minute, CASBAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Gines to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Bento in the 6th minute of play. If Cristiano Bento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Santiago Solari notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Miguel Pedroso. Miguel Pedroso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in CASBAS's zone, Jerónimo Leiria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aurelio Fernado came out of the goal and Jerónimo Leiria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vivaldo Belém in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Fernado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurelio Fernado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berto Guine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to CASBAS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Victoriano Constantinescu hit a great ball. Jerónimo Leiria might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aurelio Fernado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerónimo Leiria ran back to his position shaking his head. Aurelio Fernado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerónimo Leiria, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The audience was convinced that Iker Olentzaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Pedroso was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Jerónimo Leiria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aurelio Fernado having to interfere. VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Miguel Pedroso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF from getting a goal against them. After 41 minutes VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Severo Gines who took care of the corner kick. CASBAS's Severo Gines was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Miguel Pedroso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 42 minutes into the match, CASBAS's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Belém came free, but Aurelio Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, CASBAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Constantinescu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of CASBAS booed when VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Guine didn't get a good kick on the ball. CASBAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severo Gines in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iker Olentzaro to strike the kick off in the second half. When Iker Olentzaro came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the CASBAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iker Olentzaro couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Belém in the 58th minute of play forced CASBAS's goalkeeper Aurelio Fernado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF's Vivaldo Belém ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aurelio Fernado. Aurelio Fernado yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Jerónimo Leiria took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aurelio Fernado. Aurelio Fernado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. A collision led to CASBAS getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Severo Gines hit a great ball. Cristiano Bento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Aurelio Fernado made a huge save. Aurelio Fernado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vivaldo Belém's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. After 76 minutes CASBAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bertus Guine who took care of the corner kick. Vivaldo Belém hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Vivaldo Belém who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Aurelio Fernado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Miguel Pedroso came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by CASBAS's Iker Olentzaro. But to his dismay, Iker Olentzaro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After 97 played minutes VETERANOS DA GUINÉ - FLF got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Belém. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
