Nguyễn Van Tai Em sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5th minute of the match, Kjell-Arne Barck tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Nguyễn Tan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Anders Svensson charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anders Svensson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 9 played minutes Leno FC got a freekick which was hit by Anders Svensson. Nguyễn Tan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Sture Granberg sent off a good shot on target. Võ Tuan hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Peter Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. When Hjalmar Klintæus fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leno FC's protests and gave Hjalmar Klintæus a yellow card for diving instead. Sture Granberg didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-1 via right post in the game's 32nd minute. Leno FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When Anders Svensson was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. In the 36th minute, Anders Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Lê Phu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ninh Binh's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Phu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anders Adelsköld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Phùng Tuan took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anders Adelsköld. Anders Adelsköld dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After recieving a nice pass, Ninh Binh's Võ Tuan tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lê Phu made a kick off. Sture Granberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. In the 54th minute Sture Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Tan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Phu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phùng Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Adelsköld having to interfere. Hjalmar Klintæus was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, one of Leno FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leno FC. In the 72nd minute, Ninh Binh got a penalty, and Võ Tuan placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. After a rather tough play, Leno FC's Peter Söderström got a free kick in the 80th minute. Ninh Binh were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Leno FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Võ Tuan took the corner. After a rather tough play, Leno FC's Kjell-Arne Barck got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute Lê Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Adelsköld saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 87 in the game by Phùng Tuan from a close distance when the talented Anders Adelsköld managed to make a qualified save. Leno FC's players were relieved. In the 89th minute, one of Leno FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Leno FC. Leno FC's Kjell-Arne Barck got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lê Phu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Anders Adelsköld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Leno FC's Anders Adelsköld got control of the ball when Phùng Tuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Leno FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ninh Binh's performance. The match ended with a win for Ninh Binh.
