Sydney Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes in the game, Claudemiro Santana fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Ninh Binh's goalkeeper Nguyễn Tan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sydney Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Phu, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Claudemiro Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Mendonça showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Phu in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Paço Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Võ Tuan was slow to take the kick. During this time Ninh Binh's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Nguyễn Van Tai Em heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Paço Futebol Clube booed when Ninh Binh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Phu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Paço Futebol Clube's Claudemiro Santana ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nguyễn Tan. Nguyễn Tan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0.

When Hermano lago came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Paço Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermano lago couldn't finish the play. Claudemiro Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. Trần Minh-ha hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Phu in the 60th minute of play forced Paço Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sydney Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel Veloso's late challenge caught a Ninh Binh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Veloso helped the player get up and apologised. Matias Curado charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matias Curado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paço Futebol Clube! 70 minutes into the match, Gualter Lobato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nguyễn Tan. Ninh Binh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualter Lobato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. Ninh Binh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lê Phu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Lê Phu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Ninh Binh's goal looked a bit too open when Hermano lago came free, but Nguyễn Tan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
