Paço Futebol Clube's Bruno Modesto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antero Velasco in the 11th minute of play. Kepa Vega kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Hélio Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kepa Vega got his second yellow card in the match during the 28th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antero Velasco in the 35th minute of play forced Paço Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Bruno Modesto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Asteri Gene came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Grumos Blancos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Asteri Gene couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Antero Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Modesto was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Bruno Modesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antero Velasco in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Paço Futebol Clube's Hélio Neto got a free kick in the 41st minute. After 43 minutes, Vincent Reina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grumos Blancos and the Paço Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Danilo Caires managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paço Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Caires was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaizka Montaña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardino Ibanez hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antero Velasco to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Modesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Padro Peña in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 54 minutes, Antero Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grumos Blancos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antero Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Padro Peña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Modesto was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Asteri Gene took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Modesto. Bruno Modesto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Hélio Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Gaizka Montaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antero Velasco struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bruno Modesto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grumos Blancos. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Padro Peña managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grumos Blancos's supporters rose to their feet, but Padro Peña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Modesto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-5 became the score in the 73rd minute when Antero Velasco elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grumos Blancos! Alexandre Calçada placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 79 minutes into the match, Paço Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Bruno Modesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Padro Peña. In the 80th minute, Antero Velasco made a precise shot to the right of Bruno Modesto. Paço Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Asteri Gene got free with Bruno Modesto in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Antero Velasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bruno Modesto. That made the score 1-7 in the 86 minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Paço Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Antero Velasco came free, but Bruno Modesto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antero Velasco in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Modesto saved Paço Futebol Clube from getting behind. Padro Peña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Modesto having to interfere. Antero Velasco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Modesto came out and tried to block the shot, but Antero Velasco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-8 in the 97th minute. Grumos Blancos played a much better game than Paço Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Paço Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
