With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jojo Sugiarto in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Tan saved Ninh Binh from getting behind. Ida Bagus Eibe didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 7th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jojo Sugiarto sped through Ninh Binh's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nguyễn Tan. After a defensive mix-up in Matio FC's zone, Trần Minh-ha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ida Bagus Eibe came out of the goal and Trần Minh-ha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Waworuntu in the 17th minute of the match. Phùng Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Jojo Sugiarto made a precise shot to the right of Nguyễn Tan. Ninh Binh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. After 24 played minutes Ninh Binh got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Van Tai Em. After some careless play in the Ninh Binh defense, Jojo Sugiarto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nguyễn Tan. The Ninh Binh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nguyễn Tan should have stopped the shot. In the 28thth minute of the game Robbie Waworuntu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ninh Binh's Nguyễn Tan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nguyễn Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbie Waworuntu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Jojo Sugiarto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. Jojo Sugiarto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ninh Binh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robbie Waworuntu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. Matio FC's Aep Nainggolan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ninh Binh. Robbie Waworuntu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Tan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. If Jojo Sugiarto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ida Bagus Eibe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Phu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Robbie Waworuntu came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Matio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie Waworuntu couldn't finish the play. After 76 played minutes Ninh Binh got a freekick which was hit by Lương Hoai. Lê Phu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ida Bagus Eibe having to interfere. In the 80th minute Phùng Tuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ida Bagus Eibe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jojo Sugiarto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Tan was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ninh Binh's Nguyễn Van Tai Em got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Võ Tuan fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ninh Binh's protests and gave Võ Tuan a yellow card for diving instead. 86 minutes into the game, one of Ninh Binh:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie Waworuntu got free with Nguyễn Tan in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Ninh Binh supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Matio FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Matio FC.
