Ronaldinho de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Ghițescu having to interfere. Dino de Toledo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Santana in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dacian Ghițescu saved PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting behind. If Bruno Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Dacian Ghițescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Filipe Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Mihăilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Filipe Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Mihăilescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Jupân in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Felix Mihăilescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Filipe Travassos. Filipe Travassos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Filipe Travassos came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Virgil Jupân. But to his dismay, Virgil Jupân quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Phoenix came free, but Filipe Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golo Phoenix hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Dacian Ghițescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internazionale-RS. Golo Phoenix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Travassos having to interfere. In the 69th minute of the match, Bruno Santana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dacian Ghițescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 71 minutes into the match, Internazionale-RS's Ronaldinho de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dacian Ghițescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucian Şimonca charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lucian Şimonca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Internazionale-RS booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucian Şimonca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Travassos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Golo Phoenix went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 80th minute Golo Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Virgil Jupân had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Filipe Travassos. Internazionale-RS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Jupân was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
