Ferdínand Grímsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Piacentini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 0-2 became the score in the 26th minute when Ernesto Piacentini elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Francesco Primavera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alvaro Longo took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdínand Grímsson. Ferdínand Grímsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half S.C. Monte Marino were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes into the match, Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s goalkeeper Ferdínand Grímsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucjan Škarpa. Elia Lepre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elínbergur Elbertsson in the 55th minute of play. Ernesto Piacentini took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferdínand Grímsson. Ferdínand Grímsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Ferdínand Grímsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Attilio Grossi in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Piacentini came free, but Ferdínand Grímsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víglundur Hingsson's late challenge caught a S.C. Monte Marino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Víglundur Hingsson helped the player get up and apologised. Víglundur Hingsson kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Francesco Primavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdínand Grímsson made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Ernesto Piacentini sent off a good shot on target. Elia Lepre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barri Magnússon in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of S.C. Monte Marino booed when Reikiavik. United. F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víglundur Hingsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Lucjan Škarpa came free, but Ferdínand Grímsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Piacentini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reikiavik. United. F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Ernesto Piacentini scored to the left of an out of position Ferdínand Grímsson, making the score, 0-7. If Francesco Primavera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
