In the 9th minute, Erik Niva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Gencalp Kani dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arne Hedbom, 2-0. Jörn Sjöö charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jörn Sjöö the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SV PM Cottbus booed when Republic of Jämtland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Sjöö didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, SV PM Cottbus's Arne Hedbom threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Udo Renger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arne Hedbom didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gencalp Kani went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute, Gencalp Kani left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SV PM Cottbus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Arne Hedbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ansgar Kleim, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Carl Tempel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Arne Hedbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Niva's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Arne Hedbom skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Erik Niva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Arne Hedbom made a huge save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Björkkvist to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Erik Niva made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Republic of Jämtland's Arne Hedbom tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Arne Hedbom came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by SV PM Cottbus's Ansgar Kleim. But to his dismay, Ansgar Kleim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. When SV PM Cottbus's Erik Niva in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Republic of Jämtland's goalie prevented a goal. Arne Hedbom came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by SV PM Cottbus's Carl Tempel. But to his dismay, Carl Tempel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 65th minute, Robin Björkkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Niva in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Hedbom saved Republic of Jämtland from getting behind. Gencalp Kani took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Hedbom. Arne Hedbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kurt Hääger got free with Julius Tenbruck in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Hedbom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencalp Kani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Carl Tempel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arne Hedbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julius Tenbruck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörn Sjöö, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arne Hedbom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Ecke in the 83rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Niva in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arne Hedbom saved Republic of Jämtland from getting behind. In the 89th minute, Gencalp Kani made a precise shot to the right of Arne Hedbom. Republic of Jämtland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-1. SV PM Cottbus's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
