In the 6th minute, Carlos Augusto Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Esteves in the 8th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Giovanni de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Donatello got free with Pedro Luís Fernandez in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovanni de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil Mar in the 16th minute of play. Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Cleiton Paulista hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Zé Paulo Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pedro Luís Fernandez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Léo Cardozo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal and Léo Cardozo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleiton Paulista during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pedro Luís Fernandez had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Felippe Donatello's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a long run with the ball, Felippe Donatello did a trick in the 32nd minute in front of Marzagão's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 2-0. An impressive performance by Minotauro's Felippe Donatello! Felippe Donatello struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Minotauro. Léo Cardozo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Augusto Lopez in the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Marzagão's zone, Perivaldo Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Luís Fernandez came out of the goal and Perivaldo Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe Donatello got free with Pedro Luís Fernandez in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Minotauro made a substitution. Frank Senna replaced Carlos Augusto Lopez. Marzagão made a substitution. Serafim Reis replaced Alfredinho Quintal. Marzagão's Gilberto Saraiva was substituted for Fabiano de Queiroz. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felippe Donatello stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Saraiva got free with Giovanni de Toledo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Minotauro's Severino Guerra managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Válbson Fernandes in the 55 minute of the game. Felippe Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleiton Paulista was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 61st minute, Felippe Donatello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Felippe Donatello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the match, Minotauro's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Prado came free, but Giovanni de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Marzagão defense, Felippe Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luís Fernandez. The Marzagão fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luís Fernandez should have stopped the shot. Gilberto Saraiva scored 4-1 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giovanni de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Giovanni de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Alfredo Esteves sent off a good shot on target. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Donatello in the 91st minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Marzagão's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Dias came free, but Pedro Luís Fernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Minotauro had played much better football throughout.
