In the 19th minute of the match, Ivan Billberg got a very nice opportunity to score, but Doni Seco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 22 minutes into the game, Mauro Sarmento cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Per-Olof Walroth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 31 minutes into the match, Ivan Billberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doni Seco. Castanheiro SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Billberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Marcelo Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 minutes, Sebastian Rosen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Strömsbro IF and the Castanheiro SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Strömsbro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Rosen didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Sebastian Rosen made the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Strömsbro IF's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Alagoano came free, but Per-Olof Walroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Castanheiro SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Eger in the 67th minute. In the 68th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júnior Alagoano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Strömsbro IF's Oskar Pihlgren got a free kick in the 70th minute. Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Strömsbro IF from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Per-Olof Walroth came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger. But to his dismay, Marcelo Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After having played for 91 minutes, Mauro Sarmento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanheiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mauro Sarmento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Castanheiro SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
