SSC Ambrosini's Björn Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzo Ivanov in the 12th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Gonzo Ivanov in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Toni Nenchev took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Ekegren. Björn Ekegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 20th minute Toni Nenchev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Ekegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Björn Ekegren came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by DARAS's Gonzo Ivanov. But to his dismay, Gonzo Ivanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 26 minutes, Gonzo Ivanov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DARAS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gonzo Ivanov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Toni Nenchev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Björn Ekegren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gonzo Ivanov in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Björn Ekegren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 39 minutes into the match, SSC Ambrosini's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Nenchev came free, but Björn Ekegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the SSC Ambrosini defense, Gonzo Ivanov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Björn Ekegren. The SSC Ambrosini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Björn Ekegren should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Toni Nenchev stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by SSC Ambrosini's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nano Mitrashkov was slow to take the kick. During this time DARAS's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on DARAS's corner Nano Mitrashkov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Björn Ekegren quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, SSC Ambrosini's Björn Ekegren got control of the ball when Toni Nenchev tried to sneak it across the goal line. Björn Ekegren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toni Nenchev went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-6 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Rossi got free with Björn Ekegren in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gonzo Ivanov came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the DARAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzo Ivanov couldn't finish the play. Paolo Rossi took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Björn Ekegren. Björn Ekegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Paolo Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Björn Ekegren made a huge save. Björn Ekegren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paolo Rossi in the 90th minute. When Paolo Rossi, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 90 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Björn Ekegren was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Vinnie Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 96th play minute Paolo Rossi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Björn Ekegren. 0-8. When the match was over DARAS could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SSC Ambrosini throughout the match.
