Giovanni de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Eger in the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Castanheiro SC booed when Minotauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felippe Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 played minutes Minotauro got a freekick which was hit by Felippe Donatello. Júnior Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's Doni Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Léo Cardozo in the 39th minute of play. The Castanheiro SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Minotauro's Giovanni de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Pinho in the 45th minute of play. When Luisinho Seco fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanheiro SC's protests and gave Luisinho Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Castanheiro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisinho Seco to maneuver through the defense. Minotauro made a substitution. Frank Senna replaced Carlos Augusto Lopez. Luisinho Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 50th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Castanheiro SC's zone, Aloísio Mesquita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doni Seco came out of the goal and Aloísio Mesquita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Eger made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauro Sarmento in the 59th minute of play forced Minotauro's goalkeeper Giovanni de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Minotauro's Donato Terra got a free kick in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's Marcelo Eger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Giovanni de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinho in the 69th minute of play. Giovanni de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo da Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Castanheiro SC's Júnior Alagoano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giovanni de Toledo. Giovanni de Toledo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Giovanni de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Doni Seco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Cardozo in the 97th minute of play. Castanheiro SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
