The audience thought a goal was coming when Mattias Albom got free with Per-Olof Walroth in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Strömsbro IF booed when Säfvahöjden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars-Erik Överman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Håkan Petersson got free with Per-Olof Walroth in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Simon Igelström hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute of the match, Van Schouten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Per-Olof Walroth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Per-Olof Walroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Van Schouten, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. When Paul Hellström fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Strömsbro IF's protests and gave Paul Hellström a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Van Schouten in the 38th minute of play forced Strömsbro IF's goalkeeper Per-Olof Walroth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Per-Olof Walroth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 47th minute Van Schouten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Olof Walroth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sebastian Rosen to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Rosen kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 58thth minute of the game Holger Granström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strömsbro IF's Per-Olof Walroth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Van Schouten in the 68th minute of play. Per-Olof Walroth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Petersson in the 70th minute of the match. Don Olofinjana hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Säfvahöjden made a substitution. Sonny Wallin replaced Van Schouten. After a rather tough play, Säfvahöjden's Don Olofinjana got a free kick in the 74th minute. Paul Hellström scored 2-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nono Gol, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sonny Wallin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Per-Olof Walroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Strömsbro IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hjalmar Ahlén to maneuver through the defense. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Petersson in the 86th minute of play. Bernt Löfskog hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Säfvahöjden made a substitution. Johannes Bark replaced Konrad Vennerdal. Bernt Löfskog kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Sonny Wallin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per-Olof Walroth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias Albom in the 92nd minute of play. There was no doubt that Säfvahöjden were the better team. Säfvahöjden's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
