FC Koper's Bine Šercelj tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. A collision led to FC Koper getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Claudio Brkić hit a great ball. Dudu Queiroz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bine Šercelj. FC Koper's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Bine Šercelj made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Jailson de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Renato Souza in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dudu Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jailson de Carvalho in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bine Šercelj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nova Iguaçu MZFC played a much better game than FC Koper and deserved their victory. The FC Koper players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
