Luix Palomino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro de Salles having to interfere. In the 10th minute, CON-E-CO's Dalmacio Fernandez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Jailson de Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Llin Venero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luix Palomino in the 17th minute of play. When Wilson Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Nova Iguaçu MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilson Vidal couldn't finish the play. CON-E-CO's Llin Venero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. Wilson Vidal scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Llin Venero, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Fernandez in the 38th minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Nova Iguaçu MZFC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Generosb Prat stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Jailson de Carvalho sped through CON-E-CO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Llin Venero. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha was substituted for Telmo Barbosa. After 62 minutes, Juvenal Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nova Iguaçu MZFC and the CON-E-CO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juvenal Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, CON-E-CO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Generosb Prat to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute, Paulo Renato Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jailson de Carvalho hit a great ball. After having played for 82 minutes, Dalmacio Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CON-E-CO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 played minutes CON-E-CO got a freekick which was hit by Xulio Balado. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deivid Queirós during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Deivid Queirós hit a great ball. In the 89th minute Generosb Prat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dalmacio Fernandez in the 93rd minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mauro de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, CON-E-CO's Olentzaro Jane got a free kick in the 95th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Nova Iguaçu MZFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
