The referee ignored Bendito Sea El Fernet's protests and gave Mario Tipi a yellow card for diving instead. Mario Tipi kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Mauro de Salles came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Bendito Sea El Fernet's Jeronimo Bertin. But to his dismay, Jeronimo Bertin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Wilfredo Igon kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Clemente Santos got a free kick in the 30th minute. Federico Normando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jailson de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Uzuri in the 35th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mauro de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Federico Normando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Renato Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Vidal in the 42nd minute of play forced Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Federico Normando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bendito Sea El Fernet's Wilfredo Igon got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes of play, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Jailson de Carvalho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Federico Normando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wilson Vidal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Federico Normando came out and tried to block the shot, but Wilson Vidal slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 47th minute.

Bernabe Suarez kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Braga to maneuver through the defense. Jeronimo Bertin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Paulo Renato Souza took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Federico Normando. Federico Normando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Cesinha Cruz was substituted for Vladimir Braga. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Dalmo Rocha was substituted for Telmo Barbosa. In the 67th minute, Mario Tipi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Vidal in the 70th minute of play forced Bendito Sea El Fernet's goalkeeper Federico Normando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Iguaçu MZFC's zone, Abel Uzuri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro de Salles came out of the goal and Abel Uzuri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Anacleto Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Normando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson de Carvalho in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Queirós to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Mario Tipi made a precise shot to the right of Mauro de Salles. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mauro de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Uzuri in the 93rd minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Uzuri came free, but Mauro de Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
