FC Kurdistan's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roni Ronaldinho in the 4th minute. A nice corner shot did that Lars Sundström got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jorge Armani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 5 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lars Sundström sped through Esmeralda AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Armani. Carlos-Alberto Bayona kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Sundström in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute of the match FC Kurdistan got a corner. Esmeralda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roni Ronaldinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Lars Sundström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 17th minute Lars Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Armani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Sundström took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Armani. Jorge Armani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. With a little luck, FC Kurdistan's Alaaddin Solskjær got control of the ball when David Banegas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esmeralda AFC's Jorge Armani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Sundström in the 31st minute of play. Jorge Armani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Hybbert in the 35th minute of the match. Yin Yun Fan hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 39th minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Alaaddin Solskjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Armani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Sundström in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Kurdistan's Erhard Esbo got a free kick in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrew Dalli made a kick off. Lars Sundström might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Armani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lars Sundström ran back to his position shaking his head. With splendid footwork Lars Sundström arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 53rd minute. 55 minutes into the match, FC Kurdistan's Lars Sundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Armani narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Calvino in the 56th minute of play forced FC Kurdistan's goalkeeper Alaaddin Solskjær to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Esmeralda AFC defense, Lars Sundström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Armani. The Esmeralda AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Armani should have stopped the shot. Emanuel Åström kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th match minute, FC Kurdistan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Åström to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Fonda got a free kick in the 68th minute. Elliot Nordgren scored 0-6 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Armani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Esmeralda AFC made a substitution. Di Yong Yu replaced Nicasio Fonda. In the 83rd minute of the match FC Kurdistan got a corner. Esmeralda AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roni Ronaldinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led FC Kurdistan's Roni Ronaldinho to fire away a dangerous shot which Jorge Armani despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alaaddin Solskjær took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Banegas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jorge Armani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elliot Nordgren's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Elliot Nordgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Armani having to interfere. FC Kurdistan's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
