The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Catranides got free with Rui Santos in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Serafim Catranidess short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Rui Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 45th minute, Jaime Cordero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rui Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

Eleuterio Chabier struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Rui Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernard Ochabski in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Santos saved Atlético Zelaya from getting behind.
